Information Technology
Cain & Hayter, LLP seeks continuously to evaluate and employ new
technologies as they become reliable and cost efficient, in order
to maintain a competitive edge in the legal marketplace.
Advanced communications technology provides a variety of means
to facilitate or enhance the transmission of information. Each staff
member, through the P.C. at his or her desk, has direct, high-speed,
Internet access, can transmit internal and external e-mail with
ease, and can send facsimile transmissions directly from the P.C.
This allows us to offer our clients and contacts a variety of options
to best suit their own needs and convenience with the most efficiency.
Software programs and vendor services employed to enhance legal
research, word processing, presentations and data base capabilities
also enable our staff to take advantage of many potential means
of preparing and analyzing legal and factual issues inherent in
our cases. Again, these technologies, in most instances, are available
to every employee through the P.C. on his or her desk, and include
access to on-line legal and non-legal research resources such as
Westlaw and Martindale-Hubbell. Each attorney also has the capacity
to access many of these resources from a remote site.
Cain & Hayter has also been actively involved in the use of
Colorado's on-line electronic filing program in the State District
Courts through Lexis-Nexis CourtLink.
From an administrative perspective, Cain & Hayter's time and billing
software allows tremendous flexibility in providing billing statements
which meet each client's needs and expectations. An integrated calendaring
software allows automatic diarying of the multitude of deadlines
and reminders associated with a flourishing litigation practice.
As a whole, our commitment to high performance information technology
allows us to provide a multitude of services and capabilities for
staff and clients, both in the office and away from the office,
while also maintaining responsible security.
